Francis De Lassus Saint-Genies is a French artist born in Brittany at Val André in 1925. After his studies at Julian's Academy in Paris, he dedicates himself for a long time to the portrait. In search of the secret character of his models, he has to reach a very personal expression where the outer world, often inversed, encloses the reflection of the individual mystery.

Michael Turner is a British illustrator who specialises in motoring and aviation paintings. He is regarded as one of the early examples of such type and is one of the most highly regarded of all. Turner counts racing drivers, teams, sponsors, pilots, motor and aircraft manufacturers, Royal Air Force and Army messes as his clients

He was commissioned by organisers to create official posters for motorsport events such as 24 hours of Le Mans, 12 hours of Sebring, a number of Formula One races

Turner became friends with drivers, Denny Hulme and Bruce McLaren. He was responsible of the design of the bodywork of the race winning McLaren M1B and designed the team logo as well as designing the colour scheme for its first Formula One car of the 1966 season.

His artwork has also appeared on the packaging of Airfix models.

The Fairey Aviation Company Fairey III was a family of British reconnaissance biplanes that enjoyed a very long production and service history in both landplane and seaplane variants.

The IIID was operated by the Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm as well as the air forces of Australia and Portugal.

The third of the Australian IIIDs, designated ANA.3, flown by Stanley Goble and Ivor McIntyre was awarded the Britannia Trophy by the Royal Aero Club for circumnavigating Australia in 44 days.

The RAF Cape Flight used four IIIDs to carry out a long distance formation flight from Cairo to Cape Town, the first long range formation flight by the RAF and the first RAF flight to South Africa.

Fleet Air Arm IIIDs were used to defend British interests in Shanghai against rebel Chinese forces in 1927.
