Bryan was an English art historian, art dealer and connoisseur. His book, Biographical and Critical Dictionary of Painters and Engravers, was a standard reference work throughout the 19th century, and was last published in 1920, the year before his death
This edition was Printed in 1816, by Carpenter and Son of London.
There is a small Graffiti mark on the inside page of the owner and the date of "1886". There a few page loose, because of the spine damage
