Mirrored Doll - Norm Darwish - (Vintage 1986) Romm Lande Framed Print - 20"H x 16"W

Norm Darwish was born Nordeen Zahardeen Darwish in Columbus OH Nov, 16, 1936, the year his parents immigrated from Beirut. They moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1940. Their home backed up to the State Fair Grounds, where Norms father and mother ran the diner that was adjacent to the fairgrounds bus terminal on Woodward.

Growing up in the 50s in Detroit at 16 Norm had a red Oldsmobile convertible. He and his friends were the original cruisers, going up and down Woodward Ave. that inspired the GM execs looking out their windows and helped create the car culture. He also was a singer with his group the Impalos and recorded I Was a Fool, that reached the Top Ten and they opened for big touring acts, but his life-long interest was photography.
