Madame Duvan, Marie Lloyd, Written by Joseph Tabrar composed by Tom Costello

Matilda Alice Victoria Wood, professionally known as Marie Lloyd was an English music hall singer, comedian and musical theatre actress during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She was best known for her performances of songs such as "The Boy I Love Is Up in the Gallery", "My Old Man (Said Follow the Van)" and "Oh Mr Porter What Shall I Do".

She used innuendo and double entendre during her performances and was in frequent dispute with Britain's theatre censors due to the risqué content of her songs.

Joseph Tabrar was one of the most famous and prolific songwriters of British music hall, probably most famous for the song "Daddy Wouldn't Buy Me a Bow Wow",  which became Vesta Victoria's first major hit.

During his 60-year songwriting career, Tabrar wrote thousands of songs, many of them written to order; he is known to have written 7,200 songs, but claimed to have written more than twice that number.
