Boulevard Poissonniere, Paris, France - Framed Picture - 11x14

£25.00

The boulevard Poissonnière is one of the boulevards of Paris built on the site of the enclosure of Louis XIII.

The boulevard owes its name to the nearby Rue Poissonniere , which holds it itself because it was the way by which the fish supplying the Halles arrived in Paris from the north coast of France.

In Bel-Ami , the writer Guy de Maupassant made his character Georges Duroy work at the newspaper La Vie française , boulevard Poissonnière 5.
