Georges Alexandre Adrien Lepape, was a French fashion designer , illustrator , engraver and illustrator, particularly representative of the 1930s.
He exhibited at the Salon d'automne , where he met the couturier Paul Poiret with whom he became friends. He illustrated for him in 1911 The Things of Paul Poiret , considered as his masterpiece.
He then collaborated with the major fashion magazines of the time: Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Femina, Vogue and Les Feuillets d'art .
In 1926, he was invited to New York by Condé Nast, editor of Vogue United States . He stayed there for six months.
